Definition of external collaboration on student projects

Collaboration means that a formal agreement has been made and that a contact person has been affiliated with the project.

Collaboration means that there has been a dialogue between the student(s) and the external partner, and that the external partner has made either an oral or a written response.

External collaborators can be:

  • Private companies
  • Public institutions (not AAU)
  • Associations/societies/organizations etc.

Individuals (e.g. test persons, survey respondents etc.), who do not represent the above, do not count as external collaborators.

Using publicly available data – e.g. figures collected from company homepages - does not count as collaboration, if the company is not further involved in the project.
