Login problems VBN/Pure

 

CHANGE BROWSER

Try changing your browser. Pure can have trouble working in outdated browsers. If the login process "stalls", try clearing the browsers cache. 

 

WHY CAN’T I LOG IN?

To access Pure/VBN, you must have an active user profile. In most cases, the user profile is created automatically, as Pure synchronises with the university’s HR system (Scanpas). In order to get access to Pure, you must be registered with an active affiliation in Scapas with staff ID and AAU email address.

If you are unable to log into Pure and get the error message “single sign-on failed”, it is probably because your employment or affiliation has expired, or because you are not registered in Scanpas.

 

WHO DO I CONTACT TO GET ACCESS TO EDIT INFORMATION IN SCANPAS?

The VBN Team does not have access to Scanpas! Please contact your department secretary.

Please notice that the synchronization between Scanpas and Pure occurs every other night. As such, it may take up to 48 hours before changes in Scanpas are recorded in Pure. This means that you won't have access to Pure until around 10 PM on the day your employment begins. Likewise, you won’t be able to access Pure after around 10 PM on the day your employment expires. 

 

MY SCANPASS REGISTRATION IS CORRECT, BUT I’M STILL UNABLE TO LOG IN!

If your registration in Scanpas is correct (and you have waited 48 hours for the two systems to synchronize), but you still cannot log into Pure, please do as follows:

Check that your personal AAU profile has the correct AAU e-mail address: Go to http://personprofil.aau.dk/ and enter your staff ID after the slash. For example: http://personprofil.aau.dk/123456.

If the personal profile exists, however with the wrong e-mail address, please do as follows:

Log into the PDS (Personal Data System): www.pds.aau.dk via Single Sign-On and enter the correct email address.

If you do not have access to the PDS, please contact the person in charge of telephone services at your department. You may want to consult your department secretary.

 

MY PDS INFORMATION IS CORRET, BUT I’M STILL UNABLE TO LOG IN!

If your personal profile contains the correct AAU e-mail address, please to as follows: 

Send an email to the IT support centre at support@its.aau.dk with your name, staff ID and AAU e-mail address. Ask the IT support centre to verify that your information is properly recorded in ' AdmDB '. In most cases, this will solve the problem.

 

If, in spite of the above steps, you are still unable to log in, please contact the VBN Team at vbn@aub.aau.dk
